Friday Glider Ride
The Memphis Soaring Society has a gliding facility about 10 miles north of Wynne. They have offered to take people for glider rides on Friday.(Weather permitting)
The cost is $50 for a ride of up to 1/2 hour. For further details and reservations call Nathan at 901-372-0649 or 870-588-4422 and leave messages!! Must make reservation by the Monday before the race, November 2nd, 2009.
Saturday Morning Pancake Breakfast
The First United Methodist Church Youth Group is having a Pancake Breakfast starting at 7 AM on Saturday.
The Church is walking distance (100 yards!) from the Finish line. Its located at the corner of Jackson and Falls Blvd - Due south of the High School.
Tickets are $5, includes pancakes, juice, sausages, and stuff like that. Proceeds benefit their mission trips.
You can sign up on-line when you enter the race, or mail in the on-line printed application, or you can show up that morning with money in your hand.
The breakfast is in the fellowship hall which is the southeast corner of the church. Follow the smell of pancakes.
Your buddies might be suffering, but you'll be eating flapjacks!!

Tour Village Creek State Park, the second largest park in land area in Arkansas's state parks system. Twenty-five miles of multi-use trails wind through the rolling hills and beautiful, unique hardwood forest of Crowley's Ridge.

Visit the Cross County Museum & Archives
The Cross County Museum & Archives is located at 711 E Union Ave, next door to the Courthouse & features the Cherry Valley Indian Mounds Pottery Collection. The collection consisting of 60+ pieces dates from 1250 - 1450 A.D. Hours: Friday, Oct. 31st & Sat. Nov 1st will be 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Parkin Archeoligical State Park
Just a few minutes west of Wynne on Hwy 64 in Parkin ,Arkansas. Learn about the Indian Heritage of this area. Gift shop on site as well as rest rooms and museum. A great place to take the family.
